1963 - 79 BBC Television UK
Free ‘character’ cards sent out by the BBC. Usually featured a black and white or colour photograph of the personality, with their name and space for a signature across the bottom. Proper ‘postcards’ rather than ‘publicity cards’ started to be issued for Doctor Who from around 1977, with postcards for Leela and the Doctor being among the first.
