Each figure cost £15.45. There were 38 pieces in the initial set. The chess board itself came free, within which the initial set could be stored. There was an additional expansion set issued, which came with a TARDIS-shaped wooden display carousel. The figures were:

After the 1996 TV Movie was aired, a further set of 4 figures was released.

The first two sets of figures came with booklets written by David J Howe. The first was called ‘A Mighty Battle Between Good and Evil’ and the second ‘The Battle Continues’. The four figures from the TV Movie each came with an A6 card, again written by David J Howe, giving information about the character.
