Millennium FX drew on influences such as bones and shells to create the biomechanoid look of the Sycorax helmet. Originally sculpted by Martin Rezard with some refinements by Neill Gorton, the sculpture was then moulded and cast in fibreglass. Creating the tortoiseshell and bone like finish of the surface of the Sycorax helmets required a two step process. Firstly several different translucent layers, or washes, of polyester gel coat are used to create depth in the surface of the casting. On top of this each helmet is also individually airbrushed to give a completely unique finish. Each helmet comes with a custom made acrylic stand for display purposes.
