This was the first and so far only Doctor Who pinball game produced. The game has a ‘plot’ which is described in the pinball’s accompanying documentation thus:
'The Doctor is in … but the Master is back – and this time he will not fail. He’s recruited Davros and what remains of his desperate Daleks, and they all have but one enemy – the Doctor.
‘Armed with his ultimate weapon, the Time Expander, the Master can now manipulate space and time events to interact with an entirely new time stream. He plans to destroy the Doctor by expanding his time stream, but must find him first – all seven of him.
‘The key is the Doctor’s favourite planet, Earth. All of his regenerations past, present and future have arrived, or will arrive, on Earth. If the Master can expand the Earth’s time and push all the Doctors into the final nova of the Earth’s Sun, his mission will be complete.
‘All does not go as planned. The Doctors, aware of the time expansion, escape (but they are not necessarily safe). They must find the Time Expander to restore Earth’s Time to normal. They must confront the Master and the Daleks. And they must destroy Davros in the final battle.’

The initial shipment of the Pinball machines featured a moving Dalek head on the top of the backboard, and ‘standard’ machines could also be converted to include this feature by purchase of a conversion kit. It is believed that 200 machines were produced with the moving Dalek head.
