'Do you wish to pray before you die?' Demon Records presents, for the first time on vinyl LP, the complete narrated TV soundtrack of 'Doctor Who: The Highlanders', with linking narration by Frazer Hines. The TARDIS materialises in 18th Century Scotland, in the aftermath of the Battle of Culloden, and the Doctor (Patrick Troughton), Polly (Anneke Wills) and Ben (Michael Craze) are soon up to their eyes in history. Befriending a band of fleeing Jacobites, they're enmeshed in the dangerous political tussle between two factions: those in favour of Bonnie Prince Charlie, and those against him. First broadcast in December 1966 and January 1967, the story is notable for its introduction of Jamie McCrimmon (played by Frazer Hines) who would go on to be one of the Doctor's longest serving TV companions. Presented in a widespine sleeve, these two 140g translucent discs (one red and one blue) feature the complete original soundtrack of the four-part BBC TV serial, now missing from the video archive. Two fully illustrated inner sleeves supply Radio Times-style billings for each episode.
