The book's publication was delayed after certain pictures of Mary Tamm's Romana were re-drawn at the BBC's request. Although copyright dated 1977, it was not published until late 1978. Print run was 50,000 of which under half sold, the rest being remaindered in 1980. Illustrated by Paul Crompton.
