12/1964 Frederick Muller Ltd UK
Cover and illustrations by Arnold Schwartzman. Second edition has a greeny/grey slip cover (and the edition is noted in the book) and pink fabric on the boards.
Kingsley Amis reviewed this book in The Guardian 29 November 1964 - "Dr Who (Muller, 12s 6d) is the children's TV serial written up with some vigour by David Whitaker. I myself took against the way the thrills come regularly rolling up with no real menace, and Who is a tiresome old gadget-toting maestro out of Jules Verne. But the kids should eat it."
The book was also reprinted a third time, also with the grey slip cover, but copies are known to have either pink, or yellow, fabric on the boards. The 3rd edition is noted inside the book as well.
The month of December in this listing is an assumption to allow the editions to show in the correct order. The actual release date of the reprint is not known, other than it being 1964.
*according to some sources, a 4th printing was done in 1973. Not a reprint, but a rebinding of left-over 3rd printings. More information to come.

Illustrated by Arnold Schwartzman. Cover shows 4th Doctor.
There are two variant editions of this book, though both with the same ISBN number - this one is in a slightly smaller format (smaller than White Lion's 'The Zarbi' and 'The Crusaders'), and has the dust-jacket laminated to the boards (although it is not clear if the book was released this way, or the cover was laminated later). Due to the jacket size being larger than the book itself, the author's name has been lost at the bottom of the cover.
*note, the laminated copy was releaesd that way. Not sure if it was meant for libraries or a book club. This is the only White Lion release to have 2 variants.
