Doctor Who Card Figures Weetabix Ltd

04/1975 Weetabix Ltd UK
April - June 1975 saw Doctor Who used in a promotion by Weetabix. Until the end of May, each special Doctor Who And His Enemies promotional pack contained four stand-up figures from a set of 24. Larger boxes of 48 contained two sets. The figures were very accurate artwork representations of characters from the series. Sets as follows:
- Dalek (white/red); Dr Who 1; Cyberman; Ice Warrior
- Dalek (white facing); Aggedor; Giant Robot; Axon Monster
- Dalek (white sideways); Dr Who 2; Ogron; Lynx (or Linx)
- Dalek (grey); Yeti; Draconian; White Robot
- Dalek (silver); Sea Devil; Sarah Jane; Saarl (or Slaar)
- Dalek (black/gold); Silurian; Alpha Centauri; Quark
To complement the figures, there was usually one of a set of six cut-out 'action settings' (including a TARDIS interior) on the back of the box: A swampy everglade scene; a misty fantasy forest; a stalagtite and stalagmite cave; a lunar vista; Inside the TARDIS; Cave entrance with futuristic city view outside. Some larger boxes had, instead, a cut-out TARDIS model. Gordon Archer was the artist used for all these promotional items.
